Trail Description

Kinnikinnick Park Blue and Pink Loop in Sechelt is a quick, low-key forest walk that’s ideal when you want some fresh air without committing to a big hike. At just 1.9 km with about 16 m of elevation gain, it’s more of a relaxed stroll than a workout, usually done in under half an hour.

The loop winds through classic Sunshine Coast forest, with tall trees, soft ground, and a mix of compact dirt, roots, and short boardwalk sections. It’s well signed, easy to follow, and the terrain stays mostly flat, so it’s friendly for kids, casual walkers, and anyone easing into hiking. You’ll hear birds more than people here, especially on weekdays, and dogs are allowed on leash.

Recent hikers report the Kinnikinnick Park Blue and Pink Loop can get very muddy, especially after rain, with multiple sections holding water. The trail itself is maintained and level, but waterproof shoes or boots make a big difference right now. Expect a quieter vibe on rainy days and a few more locals out on sunny weekends; this one works year-round, but shoulder seasons and wet winter days mean mud is part of the deal.
