Trail Description

Whip Spin Me Trail in Whistler is a short, easy out-and-back that feels like a quiet side quest off the busy Valley Trail. At 2.9 km with about 133 m of gain and a max altitude around 780 m, it’s more of a relaxed forest wander than a big hike, usually wrapped up in under an hour.

The trail runs straight through the edge of the forest, so the vibe is all about trees, soft dirt, and a calm, enclosed feel. There isn’t a ton of variety in views, but there is a cool little viewpoint that peeks out over the lake through the bushes, plus a small cabin and trail junction at the far end that makes it feel like you’ve actually gone somewhere.

Recent hikers describe Whip Spin Me Trail as an easy detour off the Valley Trail from the south end, often combined with a visit to Rainbow Falls for a bit more payoff. Expect mostly smooth, straightforward walking with roots and the usual Whistler forest moisture, so light hikers or trail runners are ideal, especially in shoulder seasons. The trail is generally good from spring through fall, but it can be slick after rain or early-season snow, so check conditions and go early in the day if you want it quiet.
