Trail Description

Molly Hogan Trail is a relaxed 9.5 km loop in Whistler that links into the Lost Lake trail network and gives you a solid outing without feeling like a grind. With only about 210 m of elevation gain and a high point around 744 m, it’s an easy route that most beginners can handle in roughly two and a half hours, with lots of options to extend or shorten using nearby connectors.

On the Molly Hogan Trail you’ll wind through classic Whistler forest on a mix of wide, smooth paths and narrower singletrack, with a few short ups and downs to keep it interesting. There are some nice viewpoints along the way plus access to Lost Lake, so you get a mix of shaded walking, open sections, and water views that work well for hiking, trail running, or a mellow spin on a bike.

Recent hikers report the trail as well maintained, mostly dry, and easy to follow, with the odd downed tree that’s simple to step over and just a few icy or wet patches that haven’t required crampons. It’s a popular loop for beginners and casual days out in Whistler, but going early or later in the day helps avoid the busiest times. Expect the best conditions from spring through fall, and if you plan to hit Lost Lake along the route, pack a towel and swimsuit for a quick dip before finishing the loop back to the trailhead.
