Trail Description

Kill Me Thrill Me in Whistler, British Columbia is one of those trails that sounds intense but is actually a fun, steady grind. This 12.1 km out-and-back route has about 394 m of elevation gain, tops out around 692 m, and usually takes just under three and a half hours on foot. It’s rated moderate, with enough short climbs and rough sections to keep it interesting without feeling like a sufferfest.

The trail rolls along classic Whistler forest with roots, rocks, and narrow singletrack that was originally built more with mountain bikes in mind. Hikers get a mix of shaded sections, punchy ups and downs, and occasional openings with partial valley and mountain views, though this one is more about the terrain than big panoramas. Expect a winding line that keeps you engaged and moving rather than long, straight grinds.

Kill Me Thrill Me is popular with riders, so stay alert, step aside when you hear bikes coming, and avoid peak bike times if you want it quieter. The best season is May through October, but early and late season can mean mud, slick roots, and lingering snow patches in the shady spots, so good footwear is essential. Download a map before you go, bring water and a light layer for the cooler forest sections, and treat this as a technical moderate hike rather than a casual stroll.
