Trail Description

Golden Triangle to Ho Chi Min is a mellow point-to-point trail on Whistler’s west side that links a few classic singletrack sections into one easy cruise. At 4.7 km with just 18 m of gain and a high point around 1030 m, it’s more of a rolling wander than a workout, and usually takes around an hour and a half at a relaxed pace. It’s a good option if you want a quick taste of Whistler’s forest trails without committing to a big climb.

The Golden Triangle to Ho Chi Min route winds through typical Whistler forest: soft dirt, roots here and there, and short undulations rather than long hills. You’ll get filtered mountain views in the gaps, but the real draw is the easy-flowing path and the feel of being tucked into the trees while still close to town. The point-to-point layout means you’ll want to plan a pickup, shuttle, or loop it with nearby trails if you’re on a bike.

This trail is shared by hikers, runners, and a lot of mountain bikers, so keep your head up, step aside early, and expect traffic in prime season. Golden Triangle to Ho Chi Min is generally snow-free and in best shape from April through October, though spring can be a bit slick after rain. Dogs aren’t allowed here, so leave them at home, bring a light layer for the shaded forest, and download your map ahead of time since junctions in the Whistler trail network can get confusing for first-timers.
