Trail Description
Wills Brook Way in White Rock is more of a relaxed neighborhood greenway than a wild backcountry hike, which is exactly why locals like it. At 1.9 km out and back with only about 12 m of elevation gain, it’s an easy, low-commitment walk that fits into a busy day, school run, or quick stretch-of-the-legs break.
The path links through a corridor of trees and green space, passing near three small parks and residential areas, so it feels safe and familiar. You won’t get big mountain views here, but you do get a calm, car-free route for walking, jogging, or pushing a stroller, with a max altitude of around 54 m that you’ll barely notice.
Recent reports mention people using Wills Brook Way around school pick-up times, so expect more foot traffic and kids during those windows and quieter conditions earlier in the day. The trail is rated very easy and usually takes about 23 minutes, but give yourself extra time if you’re walking with kids or a dog on leash. It’s fine year-round in typical White Rock weather, though after heavy rain you may hit a few muddy or slick patches, so casual walking shoes with some grip are a smart call.
