Trail Description
Elgin Greenway in White Rock is a short, relaxed out-and-back walk that feels more like a neighborhood stroll than a full-on hike. At just 1.8 km with only 15 m of elevation gain and a high point around 43 m, it’s very easy and usually takes about 20–25 minutes, so it fits nicely before or after work or as a quick leg-stretcher.
The path along Elgin Greenway is smooth, wide, and mostly shaded, which makes it comfortable in warmer weather and friendly for strollers and most mobility levels. You’ll wander along quiet back streets, passing some seriously upscale homes while still feeling slightly tucked away from traffic and noise.
Recent visitors mention the trail surface is in good shape and easy to follow from end to end, with no tricky sections or steep grades. There’s lots of free parking at Gracepoint Church, which is the easiest place to start your walk on the Elgin Greenway in White Rock, and the route is doable year-round, though it can be damp after rain so casual walking shoes with some grip are a smart choice.
