Trail Description

Crescent Beach Path in White Rock, BC is more of a laid-back waterfront stroll than a hardcore hike, and that’s exactly the appeal. At 2.7 km out-and-back with just 7 m of elevation gain, it’s flat, quick, and easy, usually taking around 30 minutes, but you’ll probably stop to linger at the views.

The path follows the shoreline with open views across Boundary Bay toward Vancouver and the North Shore mountains, plus the mouth of the Nicomekl River. The trail is wide, well-maintained, and mostly smooth, so it works well for strollers and many wheelchairs, depending on wheel type and tide conditions. You’ll pass beach access points, benches, and plenty of spots to watch birds, boats, and sunsets.

Crescent Beach Path can feel very busy on sunny weekends, holidays, and during local events like kids’ races, so aim for early mornings or weekday evenings if you want it quieter. Some people find it shorter than expected, so consider doing a second lap or exploring nearby streets and piers to stretch it out. The route is open year-round and stays enjoyable in all seasons, just bring a windproof layer on cooler days; dogs are welcome on leash outside the May 15 to September 15 seasonal closure for habitat protection, so check current signs before you go.
