Trail Description

Devonian Harbour Park to Harbour Green Park is one of those classic Vancouver seawall walks that feels easy but still delivers a lot to look at. This 3.5 km out-and-back route along the Coal Harbour waterfront is flat, paved, and usually takes around 40 minutes, so it fits nicely into a lunch break, an evening stroll, or, as one reviewer put it, a “2nd walk of the diet.” With only 11 m of elevation gain and a high point of about 6 m, it’s about as mellow as city walking gets.

The path runs between Devonian Harbour Park on the edge of Stanley Park and Harbour Green Park closer to downtown Vancouver, hugging the water the whole way. You get steady views of the marina, North Shore mountains, seaplanes coming and going, and the downtown skyline, plus a string of public art and sculptures right off the path. It’s fully paved and shared with cyclists and runners, so you’re never far from people, coffee, or a good photo spot.

Recent walkers mention great weather, great views, and consistently smooth pavement, so the Devonian Harbour Park to Harbour Green Park route is in easy-going shape for strollers, wheelchairs, and casual walkers. Expect a mix of city sidewalks and waterfront paths, and keep right to stay out of the bike lane. The seawall here works year-round, but it’s especially popular on sunny days and summer evenings, so go early or later in the day if you want a quieter walk, and bring a light layer because the breeze off the water can feel cooler than the rest of downtown Vancouver.
