Trail Description

Creekside Park to English Bay in Vancouver is one of those routes that reminds you why people love living here. This 11.6 km out-and-back follows the waterfront from the Science World area through False Creek and into English Bay, staying almost completely flat the whole way with only about 79 m of gain. It’s an easy city walk that usually takes just over two hours, but you’ll want extra time to stop and stare.

The path is fully paved and follows the seawall-style route past marinas, stadium views, downtown towers, and across to the North Shore mountains. As you get closer to English Bay and Stanley Park, the scenery shifts to beaches, boats, and long open water views that look great in the evening light. You share the corridor with cyclists and runners, so keep right, watch the bike lanes, and enjoy the constant people-watching along one of Vancouver’s classic urban walks.

Recent reports say the Creekside Park to English Bay trail is clear and in good shape, with some wind off the water and a bit of road salt in winter. It does get busy, especially on sunny days and weekends, and there are lots of dog walkers, so expect a steady flow rather than solitude. Go early morning or later in the evening for a calmer experience, keep dogs leashed, and be alert at bike crossings; this route is walkable year-round, but shoulder seasons from spring through fall are the most comfortable.
