Trail Description

Pacific Reach Linear Park is a quick, no-stress out-and-back trail that gives you a taste of green space right on the edge of the Fraser River. At only 1 km with about 4 m of elevation gain, it’s more of a relaxed stroll than a workout, usually done in around 10–15 minutes. It’s an easy option in the Surrey / Coquitlam industrial area when you just want to stretch your legs, walk the dog, or take a breather from the nearby roads and warehouses.

The trail follows Como Creek down toward Don Roberts Park and the Fraser River, with a short, grassy path and a decent amount of tree cover for shade. You’ll hear some traffic in the background, but once you’re on the path it feels surprisingly quiet given how close you are to United Boulevard. Views are low-key: creekside greenery, a bit of river at the end, and enough nature to feel like you’ve stepped away from the city for a moment.

Finding the start of Pacific Reach Linear Park can be the trickiest part, as recent visitors mention the entrance is easy to miss and involves heading down a set of stairs at the end of the parking lot. The trail itself is flat and straightforward once you’re on it, but expect a somewhat rough, grassy surface that can get muddy after rain, so casual shoes with some grip are helpful. It’s open year-round and stays accessible in all seasons, and dogs are allowed on leash, making it a simple, low-commitment outing if you’re already in the area.
