Trail Description

Holland Park Loop in Surrey, British Columbia is more of a relaxed city stroll than a true hike, which is exactly what makes it so handy. This 1 km paved loop winds through one of Surrey’s main urban parks, taking only about 10–15 minutes at a casual pace, with almost no elevation gain. It’s a quick way to stretch your legs, walk the dog, or get a few steps in between errands or SkyTrain rides.

The loop circles through open lawns, trees, and landscaped gardens, giving you a mix of shade and open sky as you go. You’ll pass by sports fields, the basketball courts, the renovated playground, and, if you wander a bit off the main loop, the Holland Gardens area with its amphitheatre and fountain. The route is flat and wide, so it works well for strollers, wheelchairs, and easy cruising on a bike or scooter.

Holland Park Loop is busy, especially on weekends, event days, and sunny afternoons, so expect plenty of people and dogs rather than wilderness quiet. For a calmer experience, go early in the morning or later in the evening. The trail is open year-round and usually clear, though it can be wet after heavy rain, so waterproof shoes help in winter. Access is straightforward from King George Boulevard, where you’ll find parking and washrooms, making this a convenient urban walk right in central Surrey.
