Trail Description

Invergarry Park Loop in Surrey, BC is a short, forested escape right in the city, with just enough elevation to feel like a real hike without being a slog. At 3.1 km with about 99 m of gain and a max altitude around 84 m, it usually takes under an hour, making it an easy option for after-work fresh air or a mellow weekend stroll.

The loop winds through tall second-growth forest, with wide, well-defined paths and a mix of gentle inclines and flat stretches. You get that classic coastal BC feel: big trees, filtered light, birdsong, and the odd peek through the canopy reminding you you’re still in Surrey, not way out in the backcountry. It’s a legit step up from a city sidewalk walk, but still friendly for newer hikers and families.

Invergarry Park Loop stays hikeable year-round, but the ground can get muddy and lightly flooded in spots during spring and fall, so waterproof shoes are a smart call. Dogs are allowed on leash, and this is a popular local spot, so expect a steady trickle of people rather than total solitude, especially on weekends. If you want a quieter experience, aim for early morning or later in the day, and in wetter months watch for slick roots and puddles on the lower sections of the loop.
