Trail Description
Invergarry Bike Park in Surrey, BC is a compact 0.8 km loop that punches way above its size. It’s officially rated very easy with only 18 m of elevation gain, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s a mellow walking path. This place is first and foremost a freestyle mountain bike park, and that’s exactly how it rides and feels.
On foot, you’ll be weaving through a dense urban forest while riders flow past on jumps, berms, and features ranging from beginner-friendly rollers to serious gap jumps. The main loop is short, so most people wander off the core track toward the ravine, where you’ll find a more natural vibe with small inclines, a creek, and a little bridge that makes the walk more interesting. Expect to loop around and explore side paths rather than treat this as a standard out-and-back hike.
Current conditions at Invergarry Bike Park are usually good year-round thanks to its low elevation around 76 m, but the dirt can get slick and muddy after rain, especially on the bike features and in the ravine. If you’re walking, stay alert, give riders the right of way, and avoid standing on or near the jumps. This loop only takes a short time to walk, so that “2 h 23 min” average is more about hanging out, sessioning on a bike, or letting kids play. For a longer outing, plan to link this Surrey spot with nearby neighborhood trails or parks.
