Trail Description

Bose Forest Park Loop in Surrey, BC is the kind of quick escape you hit when you want trees, birds, and a reset without committing your whole afternoon. At just 1.6 km with about 48 m of gain, it’s a very easy loop that usually takes under half an hour, so think short stroll, not full hike. It’s ideal if you live nearby or need a gentle warm-up before heading somewhere bigger.

The trail winds through a swampy forest ecosystem on mostly flat gravel, with a few small bridges and lots of dense trees around you. You’re not getting wide-open views or big elevation here; the appeal is the quiet, the shade, and that tucked-away feeling right in Surrey. The Bose Forest Park Loop is popular with walkers, families, and runners, but it still feels calm if you go early or on a weekday.

Recent hikers say it’s nice but short, and they’re right: you’ll need to double or triple the loop, or add side paths, if you want more than 2 km before you’re back at the car. The trail is open year-round and handles rain fairly well, though it can get damp and a bit muddy in spots because of the swampy ground. Dogs are allowed on leash, and this is a good choice for strollers, beginners, or anyone easing into hiking and just looking for a low-commitment forest walk in Surrey.
