Trail Description

Tsawassen Beach Trail in Delta is one of those tiny routes that surprises you. It’s only about 0.3 km long with around 25 m of gain, but it packs a solid little workout and quick payoff views over the water. If you’re already in the Tsawwassen area for the ferry or the outlets, this is an easy detour that doesn’t eat up your day.

The trail itself is an out-and-back with a short climb from the parking area down toward the shoreline. The viewpoint is basically right where you park, so you get instant scenery before you even start walking, then you can drop down to the beach to wander, skip rocks, and watch the boats move through the Strait of Georgia. Kids love the freedom to roam on the sand while adults get a quiet moment by the water.

Recent visitors say the stairs are the real grind here, turning this otherwise tiny hike into a quick leg burner, so expect a moderate effort despite the short distance. The route is family friendly, but the steps can be tough for anyone with knee issues, especially on the way back up. Tsawassen Beach Trail is usually good from spring through fall, with the nicest conditions from March to October; check tides if you want more beach to explore and bring shoes you don’t mind getting a bit sandy and wet.
