Trail Description

Delta Watershed MTB Loop in Delta, BC is a forest maze of singletrack, gravel, and flowing bike lines that feels bigger than its 11.1 km distance. With only about 189 m of gain and a low high point around 74 m, it’s more about weaving through the trees than grinding up big climbs, so the effort stays pretty relaxed while still keeping you engaged.

On foot, this is a mellow hike with lots of options to wander, but you’ll quickly see why riders love it. The Delta Watershed MTB Loop threads through dense second-growth forest, crosses a web of intersecting trails, and constantly changes underfoot from hard-packed dirt to roots and the odd muddy patch, with filtered light and forest sounds more than big open views.

Recent users say the trail network is well kept but warn that the AllTrails route for Delta Watershed MTB Loop can be inaccurate, especially with all the extra bike spurs, so don’t rely on the line on your phone to be exact. Expect wet and muddy sections for much of the year, especially after rain, and keep your head up for fast-moving bikes on the advanced lines. Hiking is easiest from late winter through fall, but the loop is usable year-round if you don’t mind mud and are comfortable improvising your route using on-the-ground signs and common sense instead of just the app.
