Trail Description
Como Lake Loop in Coquitlam is the definition of an easy, low-commitment walk that still feels like a little reset. The loop is only 1.1 km with about 4 m of elevation gain, so it’s more of a lakeside stroll than a hike, and most people finish it in around 10–15 minutes. It’s flat, simple, and right in a quiet residential area, which makes it a go-to spot for locals to clear their heads.
The path circles Como Lake the whole way, so you’re always in view of the water. Expect ducks, geese, and other birds hanging around the shoreline, plus the odd turtle or fish if you look closely. The loop is wide, well-maintained, and one-way counterclockwise, which keeps foot traffic flowing smoothly for walkers, runners, and people out with strollers.
Recent visitors describe Como Lake Loop as peaceful, calm, and “short but worth it,” especially if you live nearby or just want a quick mental break with some music in your ears. If you’re driving from farther away, know that it’s over quickly, so you might want to pair it with another Coquitlam walk or a coffee stop. The trail is open year-round, generally dry and easy, and dogs are allowed on leash, making it a reliable, no-stress option in any season.
