Trail Description

T Trail Walk in Burnaby, British Columbia is a super short, super simple loop that’s ideal when you just want to stretch your legs without committing to a big hike. At only 1 km with about 10 m of elevation gain and a high point around 88 m, it’s more of a relaxed stroll than a workout, usually done in about 10 to 15 minutes. Locals use it as a quick nature break, a warm-up for longer routes nearby, or an easy outing with kids or older family members.

The T Trail Walk loop is accessed from Kincaid Street and winds through a green, quiet pocket of Burnaby with a mix of trees, low brush, and the kind of urban forest feel you get in many Burnaby parks. The path is well-marked and maintained, so navigation is straightforward, and you’re unlikely to get turned around. It’s popular for walking, light jogging, and birdwatching, with enough greenery to feel away from the city even though you’re still close to it.

Recent reports describe the T Trail Walk as clean, signed, and easy to follow, with no technical sections or steep grades to worry about. The loop is open year-round, though it can be damp and a bit muddy after rain, so basic waterproof shoes are a good idea in fall and winter. Dogs are allowed on leash, and because it’s so short, it’s an easy add-on to other Burnaby walks; for more detailed access info and nearby connections, check the City of Burnaby Parks and Trails Guide PDF before you go.
