Trail Description
Weeden Park Trail in Chilliwack is a quick, low-commitment walk that still feels like you actually “went for a hike.” At 2.4 km out-and-back with about 105 m of gain and a max altitude around 200 m, it’s an easy route most people finish in under an hour, making it a solid choice for an after-work leg-stretcher or a mellow weekend wander.
The Weeden Park Trail winds through classic Chilliwack green space with a mix of forested sections and more open stretches, tying into a broader network of paths like Crimson Ridge, Bridlewood West, Salmon Ridge, and the Rotary Trail if you want to extend your day. Walkers and runners use it as a connector and a mini loop builder, so you can keep it simple with the out-and-back or explore side trails and turn it into a longer, more scenic route.
Recent users mention linking Weeden Park Trail with nearby routes for a “fun trails to explore” kind of outing, so expect a few junctions and options rather than a single, locked-in path. The grade is gentle and the difficulty is rated easy, but it can still get slick and muddy in wet months, so basic trail shoes are a good idea. It’s usually quiet, works most of the year from January through November, and is best tackled with a downloaded map if you plan to wander off the main out-and-back into the surrounding Chilliwack trail network.
