Trail Description

Sardis Park in Chilliwack is more of a relaxed community stroll than a full-on hike, which is exactly why locals love it. This 0.8 km loop circles a central pond, is almost completely flat with only about 10 m of gain, and usually takes around 10–15 minutes at an easy pace.

The Sardis Park loop is a simple, clear path that works well for a quick walk, a gentle jog, or pushing a stroller. You’ll walk around the water with views of ducks and geese, pass by open grass, playgrounds, and picnic areas, and get that calm neighborhood-park feel instead of a remote backcountry vibe.

Recent walkers say the trail is quietest and most peaceful in the morning, with friendly locals and a relaxed atmosphere, though the pond does attract a lot of geese and there can be a strong dog-pee smell in spots, so be prepared for that. The loop is well maintained, flat, and easy year-round, and dogs are welcome on leash. Sardis Park is a good choice for a quick daily walk, a leg-stretch on a drive through Chilliwack, or a low-commitment outing with kids, with the bonus of washrooms, playgrounds, and the seasonal Wednesday Eco Market from May to October.
