Trail Description

Pitxel and Three Bears Loop in Chilliwack is the kind of quick forest walk you end up repeating all season. At just 1.9 km with about 54 m of gain, it’s an easy 30-minute leg-stretcher that still feels like a real trail, not just a sidewalk in the woods.

The loop winds through classic Chilliwack second-growth forest, with a soft dirt path, big trees, and enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. It’s well marked and easy to navigate, so you can just walk, chat, and let your mind wander while you cruise through the trees and hit the occasional bench for a break.

Recent hikers say the Pitxel and Three Bears Loop is very clean, clearly signed, and genuinely “very easy,” making it great for kids, casual walkers, and off-leash dogs. It does get busy because it’s a local favourite, so go early or later in the day if you like it quieter, and bring bug spray as mosquitoes can be intense in the warmer months. The trail usually stays in good shape from spring through fall, and with all those benches and short distance, it’s a low-commitment way to get a quick dose of Chilliwack forest time.
