Trail Description

Karver's Trail in Chilliwack is a short, steady grind that’s more about the workout than the views. At 2.7 km out and back with about 191 m of gain, it feels like a compact hill climb that most people finish in under an hour. If you’re in Chilliwack and want a quick, uncrowded trail to get your legs burning, this one fits the bill.

The trail itself is straightforward and well maintained, climbing through forest almost the entire way. It’s a consistent uphill with only a few flatter sections to catch your breath, then you turn around and cruise back down. There’s no real viewpoint at the top, and the summit is pretty overgrown, but Karver's Trail connects with other routes if you want to keep going higher.

Current reports say Karver's Trail is quiet, clean, and great for runners or dog walkers who just want a solid effort without dealing with crowds. Parking is the main headache: the tiny lot near the trailhead only fits about three vehicles, and larger trucks or SUVs will find it tight, so arrive early or be ready to turn around. The trail is open year-round, but it can be slick in wet weather, so bring decent footwear and treat this one as a no-frills Chilliwack fitness climb rather than a big-view destination.
