Trail Description

Cultus Lake Golf Club Woods in Cultus Lake, just south of Chilliwack, is a laid-back 3.1 km loop that feels more like a relaxed stroll than a workout. With only about 106 m of elevation gain and a low max altitude around 99 m, it’s an easy route that usually takes under an hour, making it a simple add-on to a day at Cultus Lake or the golf course.

The loop winds through second-growth forest behind the Cultus Lake Golf Club, giving you a quiet, shaded walk with soft forest floor underfoot. It’s a basic walk in the woods, with no big viewpoints or technical sections, which makes it ideal for families, casual walkers, and people just looking to stretch their legs away from the crowds around Chilliwack and the lakefront.

Recent hikers report the trail as flat, quiet, and in good condition, though some trees have been cut down near the campground. The trailhead is reached by walking through the dog park at Cultus Lake, and you’ll pass through it again at the end, so expect off-leash dogs and consider starting a little down the road if you’d rather skip that section. Pay parking is in effect part of the year, and it can feel chilly in the shade on cold days, so bring a light layer if you’re heading into the Cultus Lake Golf Club Woods outside of midsummer.
