Trail Description

Inglis Trail in Gibsons is a short, no-fuss out-and-back route that’s ideal when you want to stretch your legs without committing to a big hike. At just 2.1 km with about 58 m of gain, it’s very easy and usually takes around half an hour, making it a solid option for a quick walk before or after work.

The trail follows hard-packed dirt and gravel, with gentle switchbacks that take the edge off the main hill. You’re mostly moving through a quiet, semi-wooded area with minimal neighbourhood around you, so it feels calm and a bit tucked away despite being close to town. It’s straightforward to follow and works just as well for a relaxed walk, a short run, or a casual bike ride.

Recent visitors say Inglis Trail is in good shape, with the firm surface making it easy in most weather. Because it’s such an easy grade, it suits almost any fitness level, though basic walking shoes with some grip are still a good idea, especially after rain. Dogs are allowed on leash, and the trail is usable year-round in Gibsons, with cooler months offering quieter conditions and summer evenings giving you a quick, shaded escape from the heat.
