Trail Description
Shannon Falls from Gondola is a short, easy walk in Squamish that gives you a big payoff for very little effort. At just 1.6 km out and back with about 52 m of gain, it usually takes under half an hour, but most people linger at the viewpoints to watch the water crashing down the rock face.
The trail starts from the Sea to Sky Gondola parking lot and heads into cool, shaded forest, with big trees and a smooth gravel path underfoot. You’ll link up with the main paved path and follow it to two main viewpoints of Shannon Falls, each a little closer and higher than the last, so the falls fill more and more of your view as you go.
Shannon Falls from Gondola is well maintained, clearly signed, and about as easy as it gets, though it can be busy, especially on summer weekends and holiday afternoons. Expect crowds at the railings, but with a bit of patience you can still grab a clean photo. The trail is usually best from late spring through early fall, stays nicely cool on warm days thanks to the forest and spray, and dogs are allowed on leash, making it a quick, low-commitment stop on a Sea to Sky road trip.
