Trail Description

Coho Park and Seven Up Loop in Squamish is a short hit of forest time without a big commitment. At just 2.4 km with about 66 m of gain, it sounds like a casual wander, and for most of it, it is. Expect around 40 minutes of moving through classic Squamish woods, sharing space with mountain bikers on a well-used but generally quiet loop.

The loop links Coho Park and Seven Up with a mix of wide, easy walking and a few sections that feel more like a bike trail than a hiking path. You’ll be in the trees the whole time, with soft dirt, roots, and the odd wooden feature or old trestle-style section reminding you this is mountain bike territory too. It’s a relaxed outing for families, dog walkers, and anyone wanting a mellow stretch of the legs close to town.

Recent hikers say the Coho Park and Seven Up Loop is mostly very easy, but the end can feel surprisingly steep, especially if you’re expecting a flat park stroll. Good shoes help on the short climb and descent, and keep an eye and ear out for riders, as this is a popular bike loop. The trail is usable year-round in Squamish, though it can be wet and slick after rain and a bit muddy in winter; plan for a quick outing, bring the dog, and be ready for that punchy little hill before you’re back at the trailhead on Park Crescent.
