Trail Description

Glenbrook Ravine Park to Queen’s Park in New Westminster is a laid-back city loop that feels more like a long neighborhood wander than a hardcore hike. At 6.8 km with only about 160 m of gain and a max elevation under 100 m, it’s an easy route that most people finish in around 1 hour 45 minutes without rushing. Think of it as a relaxed urban nature walk with a bit of history and greenery mixed in.

The loop links the shaded paths of Glenbrook Ravine Park with the open lawns, sports fields, and big trees around Queen’s Park, giving you a mix of quiet trails and busier park energy. You’ll walk on a blend of gravel paths, paved sections, and some sidewalk as you move between parks and residential streets. Expect gentle ups and downs rather than real climbs, with enough variety to keep it interesting but never demanding.

Recent visitors call it a nice stroll, and that’s exactly right: easygoing, not remote, and very manageable for most walkers. The Glenbrook Ravine Park to Queen’s Park loop is best from April through October, when the ravine is green and the paths are less slick, but it’s walkable year-round with decent shoes. Watch for a few muddy or leaf-covered patches after rain, bring water since you’re out for close to two hours, and keep your phone handy for navigation the first time as the route weaves through a few different park and street connections.
