Trail Description
Mission Trail in Mission, BC is a quick, low-effort loop with surprisingly wide views for how little work you put in. At just 2.4 km with only 27 m of elevation gain, it’s an easy half-hour stroll that works well for casual walkers, families, and anyone looking to stretch their legs without committing to a full hike.
The loop winds through a mix of open park space, garden-like areas, and light forest, so the scenery changes just enough to keep it interesting. You’ll get clear views across to Abbotsford, Mission, and the Fraser Valley, plus a shaded creek section that feels cooler and quieter, especially on warm days.
Right now, Mission Trail is in good shape for a year-round walk, but expect some mud and slick spots after rain in the forested sections. It’s dog friendly, with an open field area where locals often let dogs run and a creek where they can cool off, though leashes are still recommended near other users. This loop is easy to follow, close to town, and works in any season, making it a reliable go-to walk when you just want something simple, scenic, and close by in Mission.
