Trail Description

The Cranks - Corduroy - Bigguns - Smokin' Bobo loop in Mission, BC is a solid local grind if you like a mix of forest singletrack and logging road. At 10.9 km with about 589 m of gain and a high point around 543 m, it’s rated moderate, but the steady climbs will still get your legs working. Expect around four hours on trail if you’re moving at a casual pace.

The loop links together classic Mission riding and hiking routes, so you’ll be sharing with mountain bikers most of the way. A chunk of the route follows a gravel road, then ducks into shaded forest with softer tread, roots, and a few punchy ups. Views from the higher spots are there, but partly blocked by trees and brush, so this one is more about the workout and the woods than big panoramas.

Recent reports from Cranks - Corduroy - Bigguns - Smokin' Bobo mention bear sightings, so carry bear spray, make noise, and stay alert, especially in the quieter sections. Interestingly, hikers have noted no bugs and no mosquitoes lately, which is a nice change from the usual summer swarm in this area. Plan this loop in the drier months from about April to September, check Mission’s forestry and trail pages for any seasonal closures or logging activity, and remember that dogs must stay leashed and out of the way of fast-moving bikes.
