Trail Description

Corduroy, Bombardier, Lorax, and Smokin' Bobo is a fun little loop in the Mission, BC trail network that feels like a proper workout without eating your whole day. At about 5.8 km with 306 m of gain and a high point around 540 m, it lands solidly in the moderate zone for most hikers, usually taking around two hours. It’s a mix of quiet forest walking, bike-park energy, and a valley viewpoint that shows off on clear days and still feels rewarding even when the clouds roll in.

The loop winds through classic coastal forest on narrow, well-built singletrack, with roots, rocks, and a few small creek crossings to keep things interesting. You’ll share Corduroy, Bombardier, Lorax, and Smokin' Bobo with mountain bikers, so expect berms, ramps, and the occasional rider flying downhill and keep your ears open. The viewpoint near the top can be a bit partially blocked by trees, but there are still solid Mission valley views and, on a good day, bigger peaks in the distance.

Recent hikers report the trail in good shape and generally well marked, but the tangle of bike lines makes navigation tricky, so keep the AllTrails map open and double-check junctions. This area has seen closures in the past for wildfire risk and seasonal conditions, so always confirm the current status with the City of Mission before you go. Dogs are allowed on leash, it stays fairly quiet outside peak times, and you can hike it year-round with the right gear, though snow and mud in winter and spring will slow things down and make the roots slick.
