Trail Description
Ravine Park Loop in Abbotsford is a super short, super easy walk that feels surprisingly tucked away for being right in town. The loop is only 1.3 km with barely any elevation gain, so it’s a low-commitment option for a quick leg stretch, a relaxed dog walk, or getting kids outside without any drama.
The Ravine Park Loop winds through a small forested ravine with a mix of gravel path and boardwalk, giving you that “in the trees” vibe without having to drive up a mountain. You’ll hear traffic in a few spots, but there’s enough greenery and bird life to make it feel like a mini escape inside Abbotsford.
Right now, be aware that part of the loop on the east side is closed due to a damaged boardwalk and has been that way for a while, so don’t expect a full uninterrupted circuit. You can still walk the open sections out-and-back, which keeps the outing around 15–20 minutes. Surfaces can be slick after rain, and there are some roots and puddles, so regular runners are fine, but skip anything you don’t want muddy. This one works year-round, with more shade and bugs in summer and wetter, softer ground in fall and winter; always check the City of Abbotsford updates for the Ravine Park boardwalk before you go if you’re counting on the full loop.
