Trail Description
Glen Valley Regional Park Path in Abbotsford is as easygoing as it gets: flat, short, and right along the Fraser River. At 3.1 km out-and-back with only about 14 m of elevation gain, it’s a relaxed 35-minute stroll that works well for families, casual walkers, and anyone just looking to stretch their legs without breaking a sweat.
The path follows the river and winds through quiet forest, giving you a mix of open river views and shaded sections under the trees. You’ll hear traffic in a few spots, but the feel is still calm and low-key, and it’s a simple way to get close to the Fraser without committing to a big hike.
Recent reports mention that the south forest loop in Glen Valley Regional Park is very muddy and can be slippery, so wear waterproof shoes and be ready to turn around if it’s a mess. The main Glen Valley Regional Park Path stays mostly flat and manageable year-round, though it’s definitely softer and messier after rain or during the wet season. Dogs are allowed on leash, and if you go early or on a weekday, you’ll usually find it quiet enough to enjoy some space by the river.
