Nestled within the vibrant Boer Mountain Recreation Site near Burns Lake, British Columbia, the Kager Lake, Pumba and Razorback Trail offers an exceptional multi-use loop through lush, classic interior woodland. Spanning a manageable 5.8 km with just 90 m of gentle elevation gain, this route provides a tranquil escape into nature suitable for a wide range of skill levels. The surrounding ecosystem is defined by towering conifers, peaceful forest canopy, and beautiful lakeshore scenery that showcases the natural charm of BC's Lakes District.
As you navigate the circuit, you will experience endless, flowy trails that are exceptionally well-maintained and a joy to travel. The smooth dirt surface winds gracefully around Kager Lake, offering frequent filtering views through the trees and pleasant vantage points along the water's edge. Notable highlights include seamless transitions between the Kager Lake, Pumba, and Razorback trail segments, creating an engaging and continuous loop that highlights the very best terrain Boer Mountain has to offer.
With an estimated completion time of 1 to 1.5 hours, this accessible loop is ideal for a quick morning excursion or an easy afternoon adventure. Dogs are welcome to join you on the trail but must remain on a leash at all times to protect local wildlife and ensure safety for all users. To enjoy the best conditions, visit during the spring, summer, and early autumn months when the forest floor is dry, lush, and fully accessible.
