Trail Description

Pick It Up - Datsun All - X - School Daze - Sprokids Run is a short, mellow loop tucked into the forest near Halfmoon Bay on BC’s Sunshine Coast. At just 2.3 km with only 37 m of elevation gain, it’s more of a relaxed wander than a workout, making it a quick-hit trail for stretching your legs or introducing kids to singletrack.

The loop winds through classic coastal forest, with soft dirt underfoot, mossy trunks, and enough twists and turns to keep it interesting without ever feeling confusing. You’ll cruise around 128 m elevation, so views are mostly trees and ferns rather than big vistas, but the quiet and the flow of the path make it a satisfying little circuit for walkers and mountain bikers alike.

Recent reports say the Pick It Up - Datsun All - X - School Daze - Sprokids Run loop has handled rain well, with just a few short muddy patches to step around, so regular runners or hikers won’t have any trouble. It’s an all-season option near Halfmoon Bay, though fall and winter mean wetter roots and the odd puddle, so waterproof shoes are a good call. Expect about 30 minutes at a casual pace, keep dogs leashed as requested, and be ready to share sections with bikes on busy weekends.
