Trail Description

Homesite Creek Falls via Brooks is a short, easy loop in Halfmoon Bay that delivers way more than its stats suggest. At just 2.9 km with about 86 m of gain, it’s a quick 45–60 minute outing that still feels like you’ve escaped into the woods, with the payoff being a series of pretty falls tucked into a cool, shaded ravine.

The loop winds through classic Sunshine Coast forest, with soft dirt, roots, and a few rocky patches but nothing technical. As you follow Homesite Creek, you’ll hear the water before you see it, then come to several viewpoints of the falls from different angles, including spots where you can carefully get closer to the water for photos or a quiet sit.

Recent hikers report the waterfalls flowing well and “not dry at all,” though others have found lower flow even after rain, so expect some seasonal variation. The trail is usually quiet, with people mentioning having it almost to themselves, and it’s dog-friendly as long as pups are leashed and sure-footed near the steeper creek banks. Homesite Creek Falls via Brooks is doable year-round, but spring and early summer generally bring the strongest water, and as always on the Sunshine Coast, plan for mud, slick roots, and bring decent shoes even on this easy Halfmoon Bay loop.
