Trail Description

Walnut Grove Community Park in Langley is an easygoing loop that locals use for quick walks, casual runs, and family time. The full loop is about 3.2 km with barely any elevation, so it feels more like a relaxed neighborhood wander than a serious hike, usually wrapped up in around 40 minutes. It’s a straightforward option when you want to move your legs without driving out to the mountains.

The Walnut Grove Community Park loop mixes paved and packed paths, passing fields, trees, and community spaces rather than deep forest. You’re never far from houses or roads, which makes it feel safe and approachable, especially for new walkers or runners. It’s a good “everyday” trail where you can zone out, chat with a friend, or let kids burn off energy without worrying about steep climbs.

Recent reports say the route is flat, stroller friendly, and popular with runners thanks to the minimal hills, though one bridge is currently out, so expect a short detour or reroute signage. Surfaces are generally smooth, but after rain some sections can get a bit damp, so light trail shoes or runners with grip are a smart call. The loop works year-round, with the busiest times after school and on weekends, and dogs are welcome on leash, making Walnut Grove Community Park a handy daily go-to for Langley locals.
