Trail Description

Pepin Trail Loop in Langley, BC is the kind of walk you pick when you want to move your legs without working too hard. At 4.7 km with only 77 m of gain and a high point around 141 m, it’s a very easy loop that usually takes just over an hour. Think relaxed exercise walk with a side of luxury real estate gawking rather than a wild backcountry escape.

The loop follows a mostly flat, wide gravel path that winds around the High Point area, skirting big properties and “how-do-people-afford-this” style homes. Views are more about open fields, fences, and houses than mountains, though you’ll see plenty of bunnies and common birds like sparrows and swallows along the way. It’s quiet, uncrowded, and straightforward to follow, making Pepin Trail Loop a simple option for walking, light jogging, or a mellow family outing.

Recent hikers say the trail is in great shape and well maintained, but you’ll want to be ready for lots of horse droppings and a few horse gates that can be awkward with a stroller. There isn’t much shade, so on hot days bring water, a hat, and sunscreen, and maybe save it for mornings or cooler seasons. The loop is open year-round and stays pretty accessible in most weather, and dogs are welcome on leash, though you may need to stop them from snacking on what the horses leave behind.
