Trail Description

Pepin and McBurnie Trail Loop in Langley, British Columbia is an easy, no-stress outing when you just want to stretch your legs without committing to a big hike. The loop is about 3.7 km with only 61 m of elevation gain, so it feels more like a relaxed country walk than a grind, usually taking under an hour at a casual pace.

The trail circles through the High Point area on mostly flat gravel paths, with only gentle rises that are hardly noticeable. You’ll pass open fields, quiet residential acreage, and a small man-made lake that often attracts geese and other birds, and you’ll likely share sections of the trail with horseback riders, so expect some manure along the way.

Recent hikers mention that most of the Pepin and McBurnie Trail Loop is fully exposed to the sun, so this one is better on a cooler day, in the evening, or in shoulder seasons rather than on a hot summer afternoon. There’s little shade and limited amenities, so bring water, a hat, and sunscreen, and be ready for dust on dry days and some mud in wetter months. The route is very easy and suitable for almost any fitness level, making it a solid local option in Langley when you want a quick, open-air walk with simple navigation and no surprises.
