Trail Description
Langley Lane Greenway in Langley, BC is more of a relaxed neighborhood corridor than a rugged hike, which is exactly its charm. This 3.2 km out-and-back path is flat, simple, and quick, usually done in under 40 minutes, so it fits easily into a lunch break or casual after-dinner walk.
The route follows a straight, low-key corridor with only about 21 m of elevation gain, topping out around 23 m, so it feels more like a scenic urban stroll than a workout. It’s popular for walking, running, and casual cycling, with stretches of greenery, residential backdrops, and the occasional quieter section where you can zone out and just move.
Langley Lane Greenway is rated very easy, and that’s accurate: it’s stroller-friendly, family-friendly, and fine for anyone easing into regular walking. Expect a mostly paved or well-maintained surface, light traffic, and decent use year-round, with January through October usually offering the best conditions. Keep dogs on leash, watch for the odd cyclist, and be ready for wet patches after rain, but overall this is a straightforward, no-drama route when you just want to get outside without driving far or gearing up.
