Trail Description
Carvoth Trail in Langley, BC is a quick, low-commitment loop when you just want to stretch your legs close to town. At 2.6 km with only about 46 m of elevation gain, it’s a very easy walk that most people finish in under 40 minutes, making it an easy add-on to your day rather than a full outing.
The loop winds through a mix of green space and neighborhood edges, so it feels more like an urban nature walk than a deep-woods hike. Parts of Carvoth Trail give you a bit of tree cover and quieter moments, which is nice if you live in Langley and want a regular walking route without driving far.
Recent reports matter here: only about half of the loop feels like a proper trail, while the other half runs along a narrow sidewalk beside a busy road, which can be noisy and not ideal for kids or dogs that pull. There has also been a bridge closure due to construction, so you may find the loop disrupted and need to backtrack. Check current conditions before you go, aim for off-peak traffic hours if you’re sensitive to noise, and expect this to be more of a casual neighborhood walk than a classic forest hike.
