Trail Description
Buckley Park to Conder Park Loop in Langley, BC is more of a casual urban walk than a classic forest hike. At 5.3 km with only about 55 m of gain, it’s very easy and usually takes just over an hour, making it a low-commitment option if you live nearby and want to stretch your legs or zone out with a podcast.
The loop links Buckley Park, Conder Park, and nearby green spaces, with sections on paved paths, park trails, and residential streets. You’ll get some creekside bits and open park areas, plus access to the local action park, which is a fun stop if you’re out with kids or just want to watch the skateboarders for a few minutes.
Be aware that the Buckley Park to Conder Park Loop does cross a highway and includes road sections with no sidewalk, so it feels more like a stitched-together neighborhood route than a nature escape. Recent walkers have also run into flooding near Colebrook Road when trying to connect to the lagoon loop, so in wet months expect puddles, detours, and muddy patches. This one is best in drier weather, and it’s mainly worth doing if you’re local to Langley and want an easy, no-fuss walk rather than a destination hike.
