Trail Description
Brydon Lagoon Trail in Langley, BC is more of a relaxing stroll than a hike, and that’s exactly its charm. This 1.1 km loop circles a calm urban lagoon, takes about 10–15 minutes at an easy pace, and is flat enough for just about anyone to enjoy.
The loop around Brydon Lagoon is wide, mostly gravel, and easy to follow, with benches scattered along the way if you want to sit and watch the water. Expect plenty of ducks and geese, constant bird chatter, and a nice mix of open sky and light tree cover. It’s a simple route, but you can extend your walk by connecting to nearby paths toward Hi-Knoll Park and the surrounding green space.
Current reports say Brydon Lagoon Trail is in good shape for walking and running, with lots of bird activity and steady traffic from locals getting some fresh air. Because it’s so exposed in spots, it can feel hotter than you’d expect on sunny days, so bring water, a hat, and sunscreen if you’re doing a few laps. This Langley trail is walkable year-round, though it’s most pleasant from spring through fall; dogs are allowed on leash, and it’s an easy place to pair a short walk with a coffee, snack, or even a post-walk pizza from nearby shops.
