Trail Description

Miami Bridges Walk in Harrison Hot Springs is a quick, fun loop that feels more like a hidden side quest than a serious hike. At just 1.1 km with 41 m of gain, it’s an easy twenty-minute wander that links the Miami River, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort area, and a pocket of quiet forest with mountain views peeking through.

The loop starts near the back of the Harrison Hot Springs Resort Hotel, behind the parking lot and over the Miami River via the first bridge. From there you wind through a mossy cedar forest, stepping over a series of small wooden bridges and short stair sections that keep kids interested without being tiring. The trail eventually pops you back out near the lake on the west side of the resort, with options to swing by the hot springs source or stroll back along the village waterfront.

Right now, Miami Bridges Walk has a few caveats. Several reviewers mention damp and slippery bridge surfaces, especially in fall when the leaves are down and the waterfalls are running, so grippy shoes matter even though it’s an easy trail. It can get crowded and parking is tight around the hotel, but if you veer left away from the hot springs route you’ll find a quieter forest section. There have also been closures as of July 2025 due to vandalism and broken bridge railings, so check current conditions locally before you go; when it’s open, this loop works almost year-round, with rougher access and occasional snow or ice in mid-winter.
