Trail Description

Harrison Lagoon in Harrison Hot Springs is more of a scenic stroll than a hike, and that’s exactly why locals love it. This 1.4 km loop is flat, quick, and easy, circling the lagoon right beside Harrison Lake with constant water views and mountain backdrops.

Walking the Harrison Lagoon loop, you’ll cruise along the paved strip by the beach, then swing around the calm lagoon itself. It’s a relaxed, social path where you’ll pass families, strollers, and lots of dogs, with plenty of chances to stop for photos, watch birds, or just sit and take in the lake and surrounding peaks.

The trail is very easy, with only about 2 m of elevation gain and a max altitude of around 16 m, so most people finish it in about 15–20 minutes. Expect crowds on hot summer days and weekends, especially along the main lakeside strip, but it’s still a nice leg-stretcher in any season, including winter, as long as you’re ready for cooler, damp conditions. Dogs are allowed on leash, and if you want a longer outing, you can link the Harrison Lagoon loop with a wander along the Harrison Hot Springs waterfront for more lake views and café stops.
