Trail Description

Ladies Only MTB Trail Loop in North Vancouver is a short but serious ride, and it feels a lot bigger than its 5.6 km stat suggests. With about 279 m of climbing up to roughly 588 m, this loop packs in a solid workout, technical features, and that classic North Shore forest vibe that keeps riders coming back.

The loop usually climbs up the Grouse Mountain Highway service road, a steady grind that warms up the legs before you drop into the double black diamond Ladies Only and Lower Ladies trails. This is not a casual cruise: expect steep sections, roots, woodwork, tight corners, and the kind of rugged downhill that made the North Vancouver MTB scene famous. It’s a proper test of skills and focus, and way more fun if you’re already comfortable on advanced terrain.

Current reports mention people wandering down Ladies Only while looking for other hikes like Kennedy Falls, which is a problem, because this trail is designated for mountain bikes only and foot traffic is prohibited for safety. If you’re riding, bring a good full-suspension setup, pads, and be ready for wet roots and slick wood features most of the year, with the driest conditions usually from April to October. Plan extra time despite the short distance, ride within your limits, and if you’re actually after a hike, skip Ladies Only MTB Trail Loop and head to one of the nearby hiking routes instead.
