Trail Description

Floppy Bunny MTB Trail Loop in North Vancouver is a short, punchy 1.9 km loop that packs in classic North Shore forest vibes without a big time commitment. With only about 84 m of elevation gain and a max altitude around 426 m, it’s classed as easy and usually takes under 40 minutes, but it still feels like a “real” trail, not a city park stroll.

This loop links the Floppy Bunny MTB trail with Grouse Mountain Highway, giving you a mix of smooth climbing and bike-focused downhill. Hikers are allowed, but this is first and foremost a mountain biking trail, so expect riders and keep your head up. Walking it clockwise is recommended so you’re facing oncoming bikes, and between the roots, short steeps, and tight corners, it stays interesting the whole way through the forest.

Recent reports say Floppy Bunny has been temporarily blocked for tree felling, with people being turned around and told closures could last three to four days at a time, so it’s smart to check current conditions or be ready with a backup route. Nearby Cedar trail connections can feel a bit confusing, so having a map app handy helps you stay on track. Floppy Bunny MTB Trail Loop is usually best from late spring through fall when things are drier, but North Vancouver’s classic mud and slick roots can show up any time, so wear shoes with good grip and be extra cautious if it’s wet.
